Aiming to be a one stop shop for all your jewellery, watch and clock needs, is our mission. Much of the work is done onsite but where our skillset does not match our standards, we work with a selection of hand picked, tried and tested craftsman enabling us to bring to you more advanced services.
Jewellery repairs
The repair of jewellery both gold and silver, as well as repairs to silver flatware and hollowware is something we are known for. We also restring peals and beads. Many repairs are done on-site, whilst others will have go to our trusted gold and silver smiths. Most are completed in a week. We happily give no obligation estimates for repair work.
Jewellery design
Jewellery designing and building something new and unique is something we love. Whether a repurposing of an existing item or a complete new bespoke designed piece. We have access to the full modern computer design service to ensure your ideas are developed fully to your satisfaction. We can make plastic 3D printed models for you to try on before we commit to making the item in the precious metal for you.
Insurance and probate valuations
We are always happy to advise on the potential value of your jewellery, however sometimes you may need a more formal, documented valuation for either insurance or probate reasons. For this, we work with a very qualified and experienced professional jewellery valuer, Julian Cousins. Your items are taken in by us, kept in our safe until Julian visits us and performs his valuation on site.
Purchase of precious metals and jewellery
Do you have some old unwanted jewellery? We purchase all types of precious metals and jewellery. Some we simply scrap and others we will trade on. Prices vary according to the current market prices, whether the item is hallmarked or if we feel we can sell it on. We use trading standard approved and sealed scales and we always try to give the best prices. We will ask for ID, give you a receipt and generally pay you cash for your items.
Clock and watch repairs
Broken clock? Watch not keeping good time? We are here to help. Small repairs, such as replacing a quartz clock movement, we do in-house. More complex services to mechanical watches and clocks, we work with brand approved service centres and horologists.
Watch batteries and straps fitted
We only use quality Swiss made batteries and hold a stock of some 72 types of battery. We hold an equally large quantity of leather and some metal straps. We normally can do the fitting while you wait. If you need your watch’s water resistance tested after a watch battery change, we currently do not have this facility in house, so we send it off to be checked.
Professional jewellery restora
Is your jewellery looking a bit tired? Not got the lustre it once had? Well we offer a full professional clean and polish service. Using a combination of steam, ultrasonic and manual detailed cleaning, followed by a mechanical polish and final buff, we can bring your old jewellery back to life.
Engraving
Need something engraved? We can normally get it done, whether a ring or a trophy, we can get them engraved. Either machine engraving or hand engraving for that more special look.
Jewellery insurance
We can provide jewellery and watch insurance, not just on items you purchase from us, but retrospectively on any of your current items. This will very often be more comprehensive and flexible than your household insurance, such as no excess with our insurance. This is because we use a specific jewellery insurance company. So, you have brought a high value piece of jewellery or watch from us, now you have to wrap it up. No; we will do that for you at no extra charge.
